Welcome to Short Stack Basset Hounds! We're a small hobby breeding program founded by Nicole Lucas and built on a genuine love for the Basset Hound breed. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, well-socialized Basset Hounds that become cherished members of their forever families.
 

Every puppy is raised in our home, where they receive daily love, socialization, and individual attention from the very beginning. We believe that a puppy's early experiences help shape a confident, well-adjusted companion, so we expose our puppies to everyday household sights, sounds, and interactions before they leave for their new homes.
 

At Short Stack Basset Breeding, ethical breeding is at the heart of everything we do. We carefully plan each litter with the health, temperament, and long-term well-being of our dogs in mind. Our breeding dogs are valued members of our family, never just breeding animals, and we are committed to responsible breeding practices that help preserve the wonderful qualities that make Basset Hounds such loyal, affectionate, and gentle companions.
 

Nicole is passionate about the Basset Hound breed and actively participates in the breed community through AKC conformation events, continually striving to preserve the breed's structure, temperament, and overall quality. Our goal is not simply to produce puppies, but to improve the breed and place each puppy with a loving family that is prepared for a lifetime of companionship.
